What else you’ll need
The box contains the method, the motivation system, and the daily guidance. A few practical items to have ready before you start:
- A potty (for the first 3 days, a simple one works fine, or borrow one. If you want a recommendation: a 3-in-1 potty grows with them)
- A toilet training seat (for bigger kids or if you skip the potty, a built-in family seat saves constant swapping, or a separate trainer seat)
- A step stool, handy for reaching the toilet independently
- 10–15 pairs of underwear, have plenty. You’ll go through them.
- Something to protect furniture, cut-open bin bags under towels, or mattress protectors
- 10 small presents (£1–3 each), for milestone moments in the first days. (Child doesn’t respond to gifts? We’ve got guidance for that too.)
- Nappy pants for bedtime, daytime and night training are separate steps

We struggled since my daughter was 2 1/2 years old to potty train her due to bowel issues, we tried using sticker charts, smarties and praise nothing worked, this was something we hadn’t tried.
